How It All Began — From Market to Mexican Kitchen
Back in 2007, La Tiendita started as a small ethnic market in Tallahassee. We sold ingredients that brought the flavors of Mexico to local families. Over time, we realized people wanted more — they wanted to enjoy authentic dishes, not just cook them at home. That simple idea grew into a full-service restaurant.
Sharing Mexico’s Food with Tallahassee
In 2017, we opened La Tiendita Mexican Restaurant at 1840 N Monroe St, Tallahassee, FL. Our mission was clear: serve real Mexican food made from family recipes. We built a space full of color, art, and energy — a place where guests could feel at home. Every dish on our menu reflects tradition and care.
